The State Patrol posted this photograph from the scene of a fatal crash Monday.

A 58-year-old Yelm woman died Monday after her vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a dump truck and trailer at about 11:40 a.m. about 3 miles north of Roy on State Route 507, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Erin K. Bryan was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the dump truck, Ralph E. Davis, 73, of Puyallup, was injured but not transported to a hospital.

State Route 507 was closed for five hours and 38 minutes as troopers investigated the crash.

According to the State Patrol, Bryan was traveling southbound on State Route 507 in a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee near the intersection of Rice Kandle Road when the vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the 2000 Mack dump truck and trailer head on.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. It’s not known if drugs or alcohol were a factor, according to the State Patrol. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
