A new Center for Business and Innovation satellite office, spearheaded by the Thurston Economic Development Council and South Thurston Economic Development Council, will operate at Yelm City Hall from 2 to 5 p.m. every Tuesday.

The new resource will assist local business owners with scaling up their business and offer coaching workshops and many additional resources to help streamline business development, according to a press release by the City of Yelm.

Thanks to a partnership, these resources are offered free of charge to businesses within the community.

“We are looking forward to strengthening our partnership with the Center for Business and Innovation by opening this satellite office in Yelm,” City Administrator Michael Grayum said in a press release. “The technical and strategic support they provide will help current and future businesses continue to thrive in our growing community.”

The Center for Business, City of Yelm, Yelm Area Chamber of Commerce and the Washington Center for Women in Business will also hold two workshops at city hall. “Where’s my Money? A Cash Flow System to Help You Keep Your Profit and Sanity” will be offered from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18. “How to Start a Business: A Step By Step Road Map to Start Your Successful Small Business,” will be hosted from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
