•We Love Rainier Wa will hold a TRY Trail (Tenino-Rainier-Yelm) community beautification project at 9 a.m. in Wilkowski Park. The TRY Tail is what folks from Rainier call the Yelm-Tenino Trail, because it doesn’t just go through Yelm and Tenino.

•Friends of the Yelm Timberland Library present the first Saturday of the month book sale from 10 a.m. To 3 p.m. Prices range from 25 cents to $2 with specialty books being a little higher. These are bargains for your reading pleasure whether at home or on a vacation. The sale is in the downstairs lobby of the library and include the special “book room” that is only open on this day. Come, browse and delight your curiosity.

•Mat Yoga is held 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays at the Yelm Timberland Library. Wear comfortable clothing, bring your mat and be ready to stretch in this floor yoga program.

•Restorative Yoga is held at noon on Saturdays at the Yelm Timberland Library. Restorative Yoga involves holding a reclining or sitting pose for 5 to 10 minutes to allow deep relaxation. Props are used to support the body. For example, a folded blanket or bolster on the legs will support the torso in a seated forward fold. Each participant needs to bring a mat, a yoga block, and a blanket. Additional blocks, blanket and bolsters will allow for deeper relaxation, but are not essential.

•The Washington State Parks Folk and Traditional Arts Program invites the public to the Fifth Annual Canoe Families Celebration, hosted by the Chehalis, Nisqually, Puyallup and Skokomish Canoe Families from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 1, at the Deep Lake Boat Launch area in Millersylvania State Park, Olympia.
