Bloodworks Northwest will host a pop-up blood donation center on multiple dates in July at the Yelm Community Center.

The nonprofit will be at the site and accepting donations 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 10 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 11, 17 and 18.

These events are being brought to the community through a partnership between the Yelm High School sports medicine program and the City of Yelm.

All donations must be made by appointment only, which can be made at https://schedule.bloodworksnw.org/DonorPortal/Default.aspx or by calling 1-800-398-7888, group code 517B.

According to Bloodworks Northwest, potential blood donors are exempt from state-mandated stay-home orders as the activity is deemed essential to the healthcare industry. At each site, Bloodworks staff have spaced out appointments and implemented social distancing guidelines.

No walk-ins, guests or people under the age of 16 are permitted.

The Yelm Community Center is located at 301 Second Street S.E. in Yelm.
