•Chair Yoga for Relaxation is held at 11:30 a.m. on Fridays at the Yelm Timberland Library. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. Come relax as Helen leads us through calming stretches and balance.

•The Triad Theater presents Magic, Mirth & Mystery with Magician Jeff Evans and mentalist Lance Campbell at 7 p.m. Cost is $20.

Saturday, Dec. 29

•Mat Yoga is held 10:30  a.m. on Saturdays at the Yelm Timberland Library. Wear comfortable clothing, bring your mat and be ready to stretch in this floor yoga program.

•Restorative Yoga is held at noon on Saturdays at the Yelm Timberland Library. Restorative Yoga involves holding a reclining or sitting pose for 5 to 10 minutes to allow deep relaxation. Props are used to support the body. For example, a folded blanket or bolster on the legs will support the torso in a seated forward fold. Each participant needs to bring a mat, a yoga block, and a blanket. Additional blocks, blanket and bolsters will allow for deeper relaxation, but are not essential.

•The Triad Theater presents The Best of 2018 Comedy, bringing back some of the best acts of the year at 8 p.m. Cost is $20 and includes one alcoholic drink or two non-alcoholic.

Sunday, Dec. 30

•The Triad Theater presents Archon & Grain History at 7 p.m. Both popular Yelm bands are back at The Triad for some New Years celebrating. Cost is $5.

Monday, Dec. 31

•The Triad Theater presents a New Years Eve Party with Hurts Like Hell at 8 p.m. Ring in 2019 with music, dancing, catered appetizer buffet by Masonry Café and a champagne toast at midnight. Fashionable 2019 Eyewear and party favors included. Cost is $40. Must be 21 to attend.

Tuesday, Jan. 1

•Friends of the Yelm Library’s monthly meeting is rescheduled to Jan. 8 due to the New Year holiday.

•Emanuel Lutheran Church will be serving a New Year’s Day Giving Thanks meal at 6 p.m. Community is welcome.

•Yelm Library offers Creative Playtime at 10:30 a.m. Come to the library with your preschoolers and enjoy a morning of creative playtime. The library will provide activities and a warm place to enjoy them. This is an early learning program.

•Yelm Timberland Library presents Fireside Jams at 5:30 p.m. Bring your acoustic instrument and come ready to participate at this open music session. Open to seasoned pros and absolute newbies.
